Rentals & Event Support

Over the past 10 years, Victoria BC Ska & Reggae Society (VBCSRS) has built a large inventory of event production equipment, including staging, sound and video gear, backline, tents, payment terminals, hospitality supplies and 2 large vans. 

Our Society has become a valuable resource for many local organizations and events. We are currently undergoing the process of cataloguing every asset we have to make them available to other organizations.

Here are some examples of the items we have for rent:
 

Vans

We've got 2 large vans that seat up to 12 passengers, or a mix of passenger and cargo. They are ideal for touring, or for artist transport at festivals and events. 
 

Sound Gear

We've got full sound systems with everything you need, down to the last adapter cable. We are happy to guide you to exactly what you need, and can deliver and or operate it for you as well.  Our gear is a step above what you can get at a place like Long & McQuade, but at better rates than larger sound providers. 
 

Staging

We've got portable modular staging decks, with heights of 24", 16" or 8". We can build a stage up to 16'x20' if needed.  


Backline 

Drum kits, bass amps, guitar amps, and keyboards like the Nord Stage 3 88 are available to rent to suit your event's needs.
 

Tents

Pop-up tents in a variety of sizes: 10'x10', 10'x15', and 10'x20' as well as a 20'x20' marquee tent, with long legs to cover our stage. 
 

Payment Infrastructure

Square terminals, cash drawers, coin counters, Square readers, custom tablets with built-in Square readers.

 

Bars and Hospitality

Shot glasses, bar mats, bar blades, bar towels, stage towels, complete coffee and tea hospitality kits etc. 

 

Lighting

Stage, ambient and practical lighting of all kinds.

 

Greening and Cleaning

Wireframe bag holders, garbage cans, garbage and recycling bags, cleaning supplies, brooms, mops and more. 

 

Power, tech and networking

Cellular routers, Wi-Fi mesh systems, ethernet cables, extension cords, power bars, batteries and chargers, etc.
